Sittin' Up

Just about the time that we went to Bear Lake, Vivian mastered sitting up. This has been a great stage. I can sit her down and leave her alone for about 45 minutes and she is still there playing with toys when I come back. She is a delight.

Summer in Utah

We have enjoyed such a fun summer so far with family as we have lived in Utah. Here are a few pictures of our family trip to Bear Lake with the Stewarts. We stayed in a condo nearby and played in the water everyday (which the kids LOVED). We did a triathlon up there the same weekend. The last picture is Sam in his Spiderman costume that we can hardly convince him to take off - except to eat.

Cherry Blossom Festival Washington, D.C.

I took Sam in to see the Cherry Blossom Festival and it was so much fun! The amount of trees and blossoms was breathtaking! In addition to seeing the blossoms, they had a kite flying festival on the mall. They gave out 800 free kites and there were 100's of people flying their kites all over. We had a great time attempting to fly kites among the crowds and enjoying D.C. in such great spring weather. Sam's best friend William Thompson is in the pictures with him - his mom Kim and I took our boys down for a day out with Moms.

We took Sam skiing at Alta on our trip to visit family in Utah. He had more fun riding UP the rope tow than skiing down the hill. I loved watching him be fitted for tiny ski boots. We had a great time.

Sam has really packed on the pounds lately.

Vivian's move to Sam's room

This week Sam and Vivian have been sharing a room. He is a heavy sleeper and has not woken up to her screams in the night - which is great. Although, we had to say goodbye to the tent. This was a sad moment when we gave up complete control over naps. No more zip-up option. However, we found a canopy that keeps him interested in somewhat staying in bed. Viv's crib is awefully cute.
