Memorial Day

We dropped Brian off at work this morning (sad for him and for us) and went into Arlington Cemetery. I was overwhelmed a few times by going on memorial day. Lots of veterans from different wars walking around in uniform, family members wearing T-Shirts of loved ones lost in war, and a flag at EVERY single gravestone. It was beautiful to see all the flags and I felt a great sense of gratitude for country and those who serve.

More Costumes

I asked Sam to put on his jammies and get ready for bed. This is how he came to me. He told me that he was "the REAL Bruce Wayne."

We had a great afternoon exploring Great Falls in Virginia. The park was pretty crowded, but it was nice to get out and walk around this massive river. We had lunch in a nearby cafe and enjoyed a fun Saturday afternoon together.

Viv enjoyed her ride on Dad's shoulders and Sam ran happily alongside of us.

I liked these ones so much of Sam playing with the water fountain and the one of Sam standing on his Dad's foot to reach the spout. The weather was perfect and we had a great time.

Washington National's Game

Tonight we went to a National's Game. The kids loved it. Viv had her first taste of cotton candy and fell in love with the bucket as a hat. Good time.

Fire Drill

New Haircut and good bow hold

Not much happening today. Sam had his haircut - he looks great! We practiced cello this afternoon and took some pictures of his improving bow hold. Same old, same old.

EAST

Uncle Adam caught this frog for Vivian and Sam. "He is really fast Mom. Like a squirrel."

Visitor's Come EAST

We had a great weekend with Ben, Amy, Adam and Bri here for a visit. They flew in to NYC on the red eye, had breakfast, saw Wicked, ate dinner, and drove to DC.

We were so excited that they came to see us and spend time in DC with us. We had a great weekend with them. Sam and Vivian are having withdrawls after spending so much time with cousins to tussle with and Aunite's and Uncle's to shower them with attention. Back to boring old Mom and Dad.
