My Name is Asher Lev

Just finished this really powerful book last night and it has stayed on my mind. I feel like as a musician I can "hear" music differently than others can. I feel like I can get more out of it because I have studied it, often played it, been exposed to it longer etc. I love how Potok describes with such clarity how an artist "sees" the world. It must be such a more colorful and interesting place. I also really appreciated the tension and relationship struggle of this little family. I won't give anything away, but it has given me lots to think about over the last week. Anyone else read this?

I'll add it to my list - thank you. My sister, Heidi, actually named her son, Asher.
