A few weeks ago Brian and I did the Army 10 miler in downtown D.C. It was 65 degrees out and sunny and such a beautiful day to run a race. There were 26,000 participants who started at the Pentagon, ran around the Lincoln Memorial and Kennedy Center, up the Mall, around the Capitol and back to the Pentagon. Elbow room only! Every 2 miles at the water stations they had army brass quintets or bands playing great music. It was like a giant street party the entire race.
At the end, the subway was also packed full o f sweaty runners. Brian and I waited for a train and got on with 100's of other runners. I overheard a woman (NOT a runner, but just riding the train) say to her husband, "Man, this train stinks!"
We could not take our camera for pictures, but here is a {link} to view our pictures as we crossed the finish line.

Holy Cow, that is a lot of racers! What a cool way to get your pictures too! Way to go!
You look fab in that skirt, Kell!
And seriously, you're very motivating in all of your athletic-ness. I mean, I'm still sitting on my couch, and probably will be for the rest of the night. But motivating, nonetheless! :)
Love you tons.
The pictures put a little perspective on 26,000 people. Wow, what an experience and how cool is it that you shared it together? Love the skirt Kelly!
Congrats! Any chance you would want to run the half with me at the national marathon in March? I think we will be coming out for it.
How fun that you two run together! I am curious - who watches your kids?
